Redesigning a farm regeneratively
Andrew Beedy is an Organic and Biodynamic Farming Consultant providing a whole-farm, holistic approach to the design, build and management of unique farming systems and sustainable landscape ecology design. Based out of California, all of Andrew's projects — from large-scale commercial farms, to unique landscape gardens — are undertaken with the vision of building beautiful, long lasting, environmentally-responsible and uniquely vibrant spaces.
Born on a Biodynamic dairy farm in Kimberton, Pennsylvania, his family moved to Chilham, England, where he was raised at Chilham Castle. Attending Perry Court Steiner elementary school he spent his leisure time as a teen working at the Ripple Farm Organics horticultural farm in Kent.
After school Andrew went studying environmental science and photography in England. Armed with those skills he went back to the farm he worked on as a teenager to gain some hands-on experience. There he has learned all aspects of being a successful farmer.
In 2008, Andrew headed to California to become the Farm/Estate Manager at Quivira Vineyards & Winery, a Biodynamic winery estate. Here he spent four years developing the farm agricultural and economic wise. During this time he also had the chance to work alongside the famous Biodynamic consultant Alan York.
Now Andrew moved to Southern California to head up a large Biodynamic farm. This new experience enabled him to bring his ability running and developing farms to a very advanced level.
In 2015, Andrew returned to Sonoma County, and now designs farms and gardens and consults with a variety of prominent Organic, Biodynamic and sustainable farms and gardens, nationally and internationally.
